Rope Strands Ministry is designed to help people who struggle with some kind of addiction or with any other sin in their life. This community is run by Christians, but we will NOT deny anyone the opportunity to get help. If you are uncomfortable discussing something in the public forums, feel free to contact a member of our leadership team and we will be more than happy to talk and/or pray with you.
Just like the strands of a rope, we are weak and will break on our own. However, together with Christ and with other people with the same goal, we become like a completed rope: woven together, strong.
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 5:16 (NIV)
We recognize that everyone messes up. This is not a ministry where we condescend or judge anyone. The leaders are here to support the members and vice versa. Nobody is above the possibility of sin. We are to confess our sins to each other and pray for each other on a regular basis.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)
Humility is a central theme here at Rope Strands. We understand that everyone makes mistakes, no matter how "good" they may seem on the outside. Everyone here struggles with sin at some point or another. The purpose of this ministry is to develop a community of people who not only strive to follow God themselves, but also reach out to help and love on others who need a friend.
